If you are visiting the amusement park, Fårup Sommerland, you can purchase a "NT x Fårup", which is a combined ticket valid for bus and train within the Northern Region of Denmark as well as an admission ticket to Fårup Sommerland. It is valid until midnight on the travel date.

Bus tickets can also be purchased by cash payment to the bus driver. The price depends on the customer type (child, adult or senior) and the number of zones. You always have to pay a minimum of 2 zones.
Train tickets for trips on Skagensbanen (Skagen - Frederikshavn) and Hirtshalsbanen (Hirtshals - Hjørring) can be purchased from the ticket machine by credit Card on most stations. At Skagen, Frederikshavn or Hjørring Station you can purchase tickets by using cash or credit cards (e.g. Visa).
Train tickets for trips on Thybanen (Ydby - Thisted) or with DSB (Hobro - Frederikshavn) can be purchased at the station with cash or credit card (e.g. Visa).
Cash tickets purchased in the app/webshop have the same validity as NT's regular cash tickets. Tickets are valid for buses and trains (DSB, Arriva and Nordjyske Jernbaner) within NT's tariff area. Tickets for cross-tariff-border travel are purchased on the bus, at the station or at DSB.dk.
The ticket can be paid with one of the following payment cards: Dankort, Visa/Visa Electron/VPay, MasterCard/MasterCard Debit/Maestro, JCB.
Rejsekort is an electronic ticketing system for travelling by bus, train and metro in most parts of Denmark including the North Denmark Region. Rejsekort unites the different transport operators, travel zones, ticketing systems and discount schemes in Denmark.
When using Rejsekort, the price of a trip depends on the customer type (e.g. child, adult), the time of day (e.g. peak hours), where you travel (there are different prices in e.g. North Jutland and Copenhagen) and which discount rate you are entitled to.
If you are a commuter, you can add a season card product to your rejsekort. This means, that you pay a fixed price for a fixed number of zones in which you can travel as much as you want within the validity period.

A season pass (periodekort) can be used for an unlimited number of trips in an optional number of zones (a minimum of 2 zones) and an optional number of days (a minimum of 30 days). Season passes are issued at staffed bus terminals and train stations.

If you need to renew an existing pass, simply bring your season pass.
You can also buy a commuter pass at rejsekort.dk or at NT Kundecenter in Aalborg. A commuter pass can also be used for an unlimited number of trips in an optional number of zones (a minimum of 2 zones) and an optional number of days (a minimum of 30 days).
You have to purchase or show a valid ticket to the driver when boarding the bus or upon request from a conductor. You must pay a penalty of DKK 1.000, if you cannot show a valid ticket to the control personel on the bus or train.
Baby strollers and wheelchairs are allowed on all busses, if boarding is possible and space allows it. Bicycles are not allowed on city and service buses during peak hours. Bicycles are allowed on all other buses, if boarding is possible and space allows it. Boarding is allowed at the driver's discretion.
You can reserve room for your stroller or bicycle at NTplads.dk, when traveling on bus routes 940X, 950X, 951X, 970X, 971X, 973X og 974X. A reservation costs 13 DKK. With a reservation you do not need to buy an additional bicyckel ticket.
You can also reserve room for your bicycle on NJ-trains on routes 75 and 76 at NTplads.dk.
Travellers who are using Rejsekort, Commuter Pass, Yout Pass, School Pass and Erhvervskort can bring their bicycles on out buses and trains free of charge. When making a reservation, the reservation fee must still be paid regardless of the type of ticket or card you use.
